Ramadhan tahun ini....

Coming towards its end, and Alhamdulillah Ramadhan tahun ni has been smooth sailing, so far lah.... Belum lagi terlajak sahur, budak-budak pun tak susah nak dibangunkan. The fact that there has been quite a lot of holidays in between, has made it even easier for the kids. Masalahnya, budak-budak ni dah jadi burung hantu ( nasib baik bukan hantu). Suka berjaga malam.

Bila hari cuti, budak-budak ni would be awake, sampai after subuh baru tidur. Tu yang tak da masalah nak wake them up for sahur, sebab memang dia orang belum tidur!!!

Buka puasa has been a simple affair. Ada jugak buka kat luar, much to the dismay of my eldest anak dara. Dia tak suka berbuka kat luar, sebab leceh bila nak perform maghrib. Mamamia pun prefer buka at home, berbuka di luar adalah satu proses yang memenatkan!!! Sebabnya, with small kids, Mamamia is the one who has to make the various trips to the buffet table. Tu belum masuk trip ke toilet lagi!!! Dah nak time buka, masa tu lah ALia will have her nature call. Kalau budak besar, boleh jugak suruh tahan, being a 5 yr old kid, mana dia reti. Kalau reti pun, buat-buat tak reti...

Last Saturday, AMir wanted to buka at Nandos. Mamamia pun called lah, to reserve a table. Nandos kata tak boleh place reservation over the phone. Instead, kena pergi sana, make a personal booking, and bila dah book meja, kenalah at least one person dok tunggu meja tu. The girl said, if I want to do that, it's advisable to be there by 6.15pm. ( That's more than an hour before buka. Tapi tak palah, maybe boleh window shopping sementara menunggu). We reached Alamanda Nandos @ 6.25pm. All tables were taken. Next choice, Beryani House next door, fully booked too. Next, Fish Manhattan , serupa, penuh. Next, Secret Recipe, what do you expect, ditto. We checked out another 2 eating outlets, with the same outcome. Finally, jumpa one restaurant yang kami tak pernah tahu ujud, dapatlah meja kosong. Food was so-so. Not going to repeat this same mistake.

Last Thursday, again, si Amir nak buka with Pizza Hut but kakak wanted nasi goreng. Memang dah lama tak makan nasi goreng. Made nasi goreng & around 6.10 p.m called 1-300-882525 for pizza delivery. Mamamia tak khusyuk sembahyang Maghrib hari ni, sebabnya way after berbuka, Pizza tak sampai-sampai lagi!!! Rasanya dah bagi ample time... When I called around 7 pm tanya " DIk, mana pizza akak?". Their answer was " Maaf kak, budak kami baru nak keluar, kejap lagi sampai...". 5 minutes after azan Maghrib, called lagi sekali " Dik, mana pizza akak?" (Higher pitching) " Sorry kak, banyak delivery, kejap lagi sampai..." Around 8 p.m baru pizza betul-betul sampai. Dah tak oven-hot pizza lagi. Kalau ikut hati, memang nak marah and suruh dia replace another order aje. Nasib baik bulan Ramadhan... kena banyak bersabar, tak boleh ikut bisikan syaitan. Bukan ke syaitan dah kena ikat? Kalau masih nak naik angin, that's not the working of the satan, but could have been the devil in me... Possible??

Home improvement / house renovation??? Nanti Mamamia kena buat another entry (kalau rajin) Tapi alhamdulillah, dah siap. Kalau ikut agreement, siap before puasa. But, we last saw Ah Chong the contractor, last week, 2 minggu dah puasa.

Papapia promised the kids, bila renovation completed, they'll get their wish.

On the 10th day of Ramadhan, kami buat reban. No, not reban ayam, tapi reban arnab. That's their wish, nak bela rabbits. Hopefully, all these 5 rabbits akan panjang umur.
